Front Sight Student of the WeekBeverly Robinson
Aid for Special Needs Children
I am Beverly Robinson. I am special needs aid for special needs children. I live in New Lenox, Illinois.
I first sought training at Front Sight because my husband and I decided that we wanted to have more protection in our home and all their advertisements and everything looked very interesting and very thorough. And a good area to be trained at, a good place to be trained at.
Years ago friends of ours had their home broken into, their child was stolen and murdered in our home town. Not New Lenox, but another town we lived in. The police in our area told us that this would never happen, a child would never be stolen out of someone's home and within six months of that, another child was stolen out of their home. We decided we wanted to seek more protection for our family and everything that would keep us safe. We did not at that time pursue handgun training or anything that would be that way because of the state that we live in.
Now we realize our second amendment right, our freedoms, things that we need to protect our family, our home, our grandchildren. I have grandchildren. And I want to be ready and I want to be a good grandma.
When I first came to Front Sight I was a little apprehensive that the training would be too much or too involved for a grandma, that I am. And I experienced that it wasn't. It was very thorough. They explained everything very well to us, as far as things we had to learn, how to do procedures, how to place, be set and ready for any situation.
